India vs Namibia T20 World Cup 2026: India defeated Namibia by 93 runs after scoring 209/9 and bowling Namibia out for 116 in 18.2 overs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Thursday. With this victory, India moved back to the top of Group A with four points and a Net Run Rate of 3.050.
India’s innings was driven by a brilliant knock from Ishan Kishan, who smashed 61 runs off just 24 balls. His aggressive batting included six fours and five sixes, and he reached his half-century in only 20 deliveries. Hardik Pandya also played a crucial role, scoring 52 runs off 28 balls with four fours and four sixes to help India cross the 200-run mark.
Sanju Samson, playing in place of Abhishek Sharma, gave India a fast start with 22 runs off 8 balls before getting out in the second over. India recorded 86/1 in the powerplay, which became their highest powerplay total in T20 World Cup matches. India reached 104/1 in seven overs before Namibia captain Gerhard Erasmus broke the 79-run partnership between Kishan and Tilak Varma.
Namibia performed well with the ball during the middle overs. Gerhard Erasmus was the most successful bowler, taking 4 wickets for 20 runs. Namibia also picked up five wickets in the last two overs while conceding only 10 runs.

Varun Chakravarthy turned the match in India’s favor with an outstanding bowling spell, finishing with figures of 3/7 in two overs. He dismissed key batters including Louren Steenkamp, Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton, and JJ Smit. Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel also supported well, taking two wickets each.
Namibia were eventually bowled out for 116 in 18.2 overs, handing India a comfortable 93-run victory. Hardik Pandya was awarded Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
